POSITION OVERVIEW

Salary range: The salary range for this position is $55,632-$66,600. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by experience level. See Postdoctoral Scholar Scale for the salary range. “Off-scale salaries”, i.e. a salary that is higher than the published system-wide salary at the designated experience, are offered when necessary to meet competitive conditions.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Two NIH-funded postdoctoral positions are available to work on the development of body-on-chip devices in the areas of Cancer Biology and Blood-Brain Barrier. The ideal candidate will have experience in cell culture, vascular biology, bioengineering (including COMSOL modeling), and microfluidic systems. Prior knowledge in the areas of cancer or BBB would be an advantage, however, candidates with any combination of the above should consider applying.

Initial appointment is for two years with an anticipated extension to 3 years pending satisfactory performance and funding. Salary will be commensurate with experience and University guidelines.
