The UCI Facility for Imaging & Brain Research (FIBRE) is a new neuroimaging center that seeks to support scientists in their mission to better understand the workings of the human brain. Professor Craig Stark from the department of Neurobiology and Behavior will serve as the first director of FIBRE, and partner with other biologists, physicians, sociologists, and biomedical engineers looking to unlock the mysteries of learning and memory, brain health and disease, and human social behavior. At the heart of FIBRE is a Siemens Prisma 3T MRI scanner that is capable of providing high-resolution images of the brain.
