Dunlop School Faculty Mentoring Program
Together with the Equity Advisor, we have implemented a school-wide junior faculty mentoring program as well as an ad hoc mentoring program for midcareer faculty. We support new faculty with on-boarding and establishing mentoring committees. We hold quarterly meetings with junior faculty.

Academic Review
Guidelines
We have developed a set of school guidelines for preparing academic review files. The guidelines are consistent with the broad criteria for professional advancement set out by the Office of Academic Personnel and reflect our four academic units’ best practices resulting in successful review of faculty in the School of Biological Sciences.

Professor of Teaching Guidelines
Professors of Teaching at the school will have a teaching load in the range of two courses per quarter, or about 180 hrs. Like research professors, this teaching load is reduced accordingly for activities that necessitate release from teaching. Half time faculty are expected to have half the teaching workload.
