John Avise’s book, Evolutionary Perspectives on Pregnancy received the 2013 Outstanding Academic Titles Award from Choice, the flagship publication of the American Library Association, The Association of College and Research Libraries Division. John Avise, Ph.D. is a Distinguished Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in the School of Biological Sciences with research focusing on ecology and evolutionary genetics, natural history and conservation biology.
