Life Amongst the Clouds

What do mountain birds and mushrooms have in common? According to Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Ph.D., candidate Caitlin Looby, they both can tell us a lot about climate change. In an article featured in The New York Time’s Opinion Pages, Looby writes about the impact of climate change on the cloud forest of the Monteverde mountains in Costa Rica.  Her work, with her thesis advisor Professor Kathleen K. Treseder, has shed light on the effects of warming on cloud forest fungal species.
