Dr. Samantha Wright, an entering Ph.D. student in the laboratory of Dr. Donovan German, was invited to serve as a guest scientist in an episode of “SciGirls.”  This new PBS show for kids ages 8-12 showcases girls in a variety of locations using science and engineering concepts in their daily lives.  Filming for an episode on marine ecology occurred around campus and in nearby coastal locations during the week of September 8, with the episode to air some time in 2015.  Watch future issues of this newsletter for the show’s air date, and read more about SciGirls here.
