Xiaoyu Shi’s lab at the University of California, Irvine, is looking for highly motivated, and
talented postdoctoral fellows to fill two postdoc positions. Competitive candidates should be
interested in any of the following areas: single-cell analysis, spatial omics, super-resolution
microscopy, multi-photon microscopy, microfluidics, proteomics, molecular biology, biochemistry,
genetics, cell biology, and neuroscience. Postdoctoral candidates should have experience and
publication track record in relevant fields.
- The primary job function for the postdoc position in spatial multiomics is to (1) develop new
methods of spatial multiomics including transcriptomics, epigenetics, and proteomics, and (2) apply
the methods in Alzheimer’s disease and other diseases. - The primary job function for the postdoc position in super-resolution microscopy is to study
organelle-organelle interactions using super-resolution microscopy or develop new super- resolution
microscopy methods in the lab.

Lab are financially supported for one national or international meeting per year, and unlimited
local meetings. The UCI campus offers numerous training programs and workshops for postdocs in
leadership building, teaching skill enhancement, career development, and early career fellowship
application. The PI fully supports postdocs in attending these events, and will help with their
networking and fellowship application.
