On January 30^th, UCI alumni, students, and community members braved the occasional rains to celebrate the 2016 Homecoming in Aldrich Park. Not to be outdone, the Biological Sciences School hosted two interactive displays along with our information booth. Members of UCI MIND were on hand to showcase a human brain and spinal cord, while Dr. Catherine Loudon was on hand to educate visitors on bed bug biology and the way in which her lab is working to prevent bed bug infestation.  Altogether several visitors dropped by to learn about the biological sciences. Other features of the festival included music, live performances, and an activities center, where an assortment of games was available for children to play. The day concluded with a UCI men’s basketball game against long-time rival, UC Santa Barbara.
