Please join the School of Biological Sciences in wishing a fond farewell to our wonderful staff members Yuanshun Chen, Minh-Thanh Dinh and Larry Herman as they head off to their next great adventure — their retirement from the University. Dunlop School has benefited greatly from their hard work and dedication, and we are indebted to their commitment to our students, staff and faculty.
Yuanshun Chen worked at UCI for 30 years, the last 15 of which have been as the school’s director of finance. As director, Yuanshun managed the financial business affairs of Dunlop School. We applaud her for her efforts to always strive to be a valuable contributor to the school’s mission and to make a positive impact on her staff.
Minh-Thanh Dinh began her affiliation with the school as an undergraduate student. After earning her degree, she returned to work in the UCI Registrar’s Office before joining Dunlop School Student Affairs as an academic counselor. Over 35 years of service in Student Affairs, Minh provided academic and career guidance to thousands of undergraduates, and she certified over 10,000 degrees for Dunlop School majors.
Larry Herman has been with Dunlop School since 1965, starting as a student. He was among the school’s first graduating class. Larry served Dunlop School in many capacities for nearly 55 years, working as a lab technician and eventually rising to the position of academic coordinator involved with the undergraduate teaching laboratories.
We are pleased to extend our gratitude and best wishes to Yuanshun Chen, Minh-Thanh Dinh and Larry Herman!
